Why I Blog

I actually have enjoyed my blogging thus far, though it has been a sputtering series of blogs at best and I haven’t yet started writing the meat portion of my blog (the learning part). Believe it or not that will begin very soon.

My main reasons for liking blogging, in this case, is that it pushes me to actually learn what I say I’m going to learn so I can write about it. I also view the writing as though I were teaching others about my subject so the act of writing re-enforces what I’m learning.

I haven’t given much thought to the world at large reading my posts. Though it doesn’t seem very important as my topic is not personal. I doubt that I will run across much controversy or even show much of my personality while documenting learning about databases. So, my hope is to be a guide eventually to those who want to do the same things, being able to report my steps and warn those following about my miss steps, in order to save them some time.
